Frequently Asked Questions
About Kickball Hub
What is Kickball Hub?
Kickball Hub is a community-driven platform built to help recreational kickball players, captains, and league managers organize their kickball experience. Teams and leagues can use Kickball Hub for schedules, RSVPs, lineups, fielding, scores, standings, events, and other team management tools.
Is Kickball Hub my league's official website?
Not necessarily. Kickball Hub provides tools that players, captains, and league managers can use to organize their teams and leagues. Unless specifically stated otherwise, the presence of a league or team on Kickball Hub does not mean Kickball Hub owns, operates, or officially represents that organization.
Who owns team names, league names, and logos uploaded to Kickball Hub?
Kickball Hub does not claim ownership of team names, league names, logos, photos, or other content uploaded by users. Those rights remain with their respective owners.
Why is my email required?
Kickball Hub uses your email address to verify your identity and provide secure account access using a one-time password (OTP).
Can I opt out of emails?
Yes. Optional emails about games, practices, events, socials, team or league updates, and Kickball Hub news can be turned on or off from your profile's Email Settings.
Is Kickball Hub for teams or leagues?
Both, but it starts with the team. Captains can use Kickball Hub independently to manage their team. Leagues can also use League Hub to connect schedules, opponents, scores, standings, umpires, and updates across participating teams.
Does my league have to use Kickball Hub?
No. You can create and manage your team on Kickball Hub even if your league doesn't use League Hub.
Does Kickball Hub replace my league's registration platform?
No. Kickball Hub focuses on managing your team and season after players register.
Who built Kickball Hub?
A kickball captain. Kickball Hub was built around the things captains actually manage every week.
Accounts & Access
Do players need a Kickball Hub account?
No password is needed. Players sign in with their email and a one-time code. Captains can also add players to the roster manually.
How do I create a team?
From the team list, tap Create a new team and fill in your team name, your name and email, and your city/state. After that we'll email you a one time code. Verify it and you're set up as captain.
How do players join a team?
Text them the team link so they can open it and join themselves, or add them to the roster manually.
Can there be more than one captain?
Yes, captains can promote a player to Co Captain and hand them specific permissions.
How do I switch teams or sign out?
Tap the team name in the header to get back to your team list. Sign out lives in Settings.
Can I customize how my team's page looks?
Yes. Upload a logo and Kickball Hub will pull a color theme straight from it, or set colors, fonts, and section layout manually in Settings.
Free vs Pro
Is Kickball Hub free?
Yes. Rosters, RSVPs, schedules, lineups, fielding, bench tracking, and season records are all free. Pro adds extra tools on top for teams that want them.
What is Kickball Hub Pro?
Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks extra tools for your entire team for one full season (about four months). Pro features include player stats, player photos on the fielding diagram, and snack and water auto-rotation. One purchase covers everyone on the roster.
How much does Pro cost?
Pro is $24.99 for a full season (about four months). No auto renewal, no monthly charge.
Who can purchase Pro?
Anyone on the roster, captain or player. Whoever buys it, it unlocks Pro for the entire team.
Can I still use Kickball Hub without Pro?
Yes, rosters, RSVPs, schedules, lineups, fielding, and season records are all free.
Game Day
How do I build a kicking lineup?
Go to the Lineup tab and drag players into order. It saves as you go, and you can export it as an image to text to the team.
How do I assign fielding positions?
On the Fielding tab, tap a position on the diamond and pick a player. You can rotate the lineup by inning.
How does RSVP work?
Players open the Schedule tab, tap a game, and mark themselves In or Out. Captains get a running tally of who's in, who's out, and who hasn't answered yet.
How do I record a game score?
Open a played game on the Schedule tab and enter the final score. It counts toward your record automatically unless you mark the game as not counting.
Field Builder & Field Hub
What is Field Builder?
Field Builder is a free, no-signup tool for quickly creating a kickball fielding diagram. Drag players onto the field, customize positions, and export your lineup.
What is Field Hub?
Field Hub is a community directory of places to practice and play kickball. Browse community-submitted fields or contribute a location for other teams to use.
How do I add a field to Field Hub?
From the home page, open Field Hub and tap Add a field. Fill in the name, location, city/state, cost, reservation info, and facilities.
Does Field Hub require a team or login?
No. Browse, search, favorite, or submit a field without ever creating a team.
League Hub & Ump Hub
What is League Hub?
League Hub helps league organizers coordinate seasons, schedules, participating teams, scores, standings, umpire assignments, and league updates.
What is Ump Hub?
Ump Hub gives umpires one place to see their schedule and assignments, indicate availability, and report game scores.
Season Management
What is the Season Hub?
It's the dashboard for a whole season, not just one game: standings, the playoff bracket, and league wide social events, all in one spot.
How do I manage games in the Schedule tab?
The Schedule tab lists every game, practice, and social event for the season. Add events, edit times and locations, report scores, and look back at history.
How do playoff brackets work in the Season Hub?
If your league runs playoffs through the Season Hub, the live bracket shows up right on the Schedule tab and updates itself as scores get reported.
Guest Teams & Social Events
What's a guest team?
A placeholder a league or tournament manager can create for a team that hasn't set up its own Kickball Hub yet.
How do I claim a guest team?
You'll get a claim link from your league manager. It walks you through setting up your team, pre-linked to the right season or tournament.
What are social events?
Non-game get-togethers: happy hours, socials, whatever your league does off the field, that show up on the season calendar alongside actual games.
Snack & Water Duty
How do I assign snack and water duty?
Open a game on the Schedule tab and use the Snack/Water settings. Assign manually, auto-rotate, or let players claim open slots. (Pro feature)
Can I automate snack duty?
Turn on Auto snack mode in Settings and it rotates through the roster on its own. (Pro feature)
How do players know when it's their turn for snacks?
It shows up right on the game view, and if reminders are turned on, they'll get a nudge before game day too.
